My experience on Twitter!

I really think that my experience on twitter was rather disappointing and not really what I expected. Since long time ago, I didn't like the idea of using twitter as twitter is most often crowded by celebrities or people who are always reporting about their life and what they are doing.

I tweeted about an article of 10 scariest places especially for this Halloween and another one on Tao Dan Park where it was added to one of the scariest places in the world. I didn't receive any re-tweets from anyone and I even made it searchable by adding hashtags before important words such as ‘scariest’ and ‘places’ but it was a real failure.

This was quite a bad experience maybe because I am not used to this platform as I am used to Facebook or YouTube. If I was used to it then I think that maybe I would have get sufficient audience to share my tweets with. I must also say that 140 characters was very limited to the messages I wanted to convey. I either had to make it short and direct or avoid some words to make the message clear. This was personally very annoying due to the limits of twitter.

There is also that limit in terms of sharing when you cannot share any videos like other platforms. So for me, I don’t think that Twitter is a good platform. If I had a large audience, then I could have dragged them all to my blog but unfortunately this is not the case.

But nevertheless, I linked my blog to my twitter account just for the purpose of bloggers who want to know a bit more about me to find me easily. Here is the picture of my twitter tweets and my retweet.

Entering a conversation for the first time

So here is the link where i tried to enter a conversation, successfully got moderation accepted and  a response back from another blogger.http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=9204791461433085233&postID=2300021488479948217&isPopup=true
Below is the comment i posted and the reply i have got from someone.

Hi,
im new to blogging and this post is very similar to the one im actually working on. In fact i never heard of Xochimico but la isla de las munecas. This place is mainly known as la isla de las munecas i guess.
In fact, i have been told the story differently by many people. People said that the man was driven to madness then he started collecting dolls from rivers, dump lands and especially from the nearest village of the island. He would then hang them all over the island as a tribute to the little girl. The doll which he firstly found was said to have whisper him to keep collecting those dolls and hanging them. With time, the dolls started decaying and some even became house for insects.
I absolutely agree on the fact that it is described as being one of the most creepiest place on earth. I would also like to go there one day. Nowadays whenever tourists go to visit the island, they bring along a doll which they hang on the trees. This is why there are so many dolls there. Isn't it awesome to visit such a place and bring there a doll?

My blog's changes!

I recently made some changes to my blog such as the fonts and the backgroud, I added links to my twitter and Facebook account and I even the RSS feed and followers gadgets.

Firstly I changed the font in order for it to match my overall blog theme which is about scariest places of the world. It would me much more attractive if the font on the blog looks scarier for the readers. I changed the backgroud to make it have a more serious and mysterious look. I also added links to my personal account on social networks to Facebook and Twitter at the Top so that the readers can get to know me personally and get in touch with me. It can act as a great communication tool between the readers and myself. A special RSS feed was even added to my blog so that readers can be informed of my latest posts via mail, through this they will be directly informed of what I am posting and they don’t have to recently check my blog for updates. At last, I added the follower’s gadgets which allow me to link my profile to another blogger. Readers will now have access to communities of bloggers around.

All these changes were made in order to make my blog more interesting and interacting. Hope you enjoy it!
Here are some screenshots of how it was before.

Boo! Any idea of haunted places you would like to visit for Halloween 2013? So here are 7 of the most haunted places you should have a look. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kami-garcia-/top-7-haunted-places_b_4024214.html
You have been warned so here they are:

West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville, West Virginia
Fashioned in a gothic architectural style and looking like a castle, this was an ancient prison where many executions have taken place such as hangings, decapitated people or even a boiling room and much more. Even families were so scared to claim the dead bodies of these prisoners. Here is a link to the official page if you wanna take a look. http://www.wvpentours.com/

Waverly Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky
Created to treat tuberculosis patients, experiments have created a sort of insanity and death of patients for more than 50 years. There is also said to be a little girl playing hide and seek through the walls of the hospital and a very old woman with bleeding wrists always asking for help. Owners might transformed this place into a hotel soon, so wanna stay some days into this place?http://therealwaverlyhills.com/newsite/

Bell Witch Farm in Adams, Tennessee
A witch is said to have cursed the bell family just for a land proprietorship matter. The curse started on the Bell's daughter and the place is said to be infected by rats and insects or even physical torments. So? isnt it a great choice for your perfect holidays? http://www.bellwitchcave.com/

Devil's Road in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania
What a strange name for a road! There, the trees are said to be set in a very mysterious way, they bend on the other side of the road as if something was pulling them. These roads goes straight to a mansion named the 'cult house' where the windows are like inverted crosses which makes it scary. This was said to be a church where devil is venerated and where he is supposed to chase people on these roads. http://www.weirdus.com/states/pennsylvania/local_legends/devils_road/

Fort Mifflin in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Said to be inhabited by ghost, you might come across a woman who screams, a faceless man and much more. So, wanna visit this lonely woman who just want some cuddles or this man who just want a kiss? http://www.fortmifflin.com/

Stull Cemetery in Stull, Kansas
Said to be the one of the 7 gates of hell, this place is mostly visited by Satan's worshipers. Supernatural events often happened there. Nice place for a tour and to say hi to these worshipers, isn't it?

Exorcist House in St. Louis, Missouri
What about a lovely place where one of the first exorcist by the church took place? A young boy was supposedly possessed by the devil and was thus exorcised by the church in his house.

Introducing My Topic

The world has some terrifying locations which are supposedly supernatural or even strange. The most interesting thing about these places is all the historical background, location as well as architectural importance behind the places presented on this blog. It is very interesting to know why these places are so called 'scary' or even 'haunted', what makes them feels so special and described by some many people in the world as been scary. It is also very fascinating to discover these places where a climate of fear and insecurity reign from people who have ever visited these places and experienced the feelings of being there for real. People keep asking themselves why these places have become a source of attraction and we are going to discover these reasons together. Here are some pictures of the Island of dolls in Mexico taken by Maria who went there and actually experienced this place.

This place is actually listed as one of the scariest places of the world because it is said to be inhabited by thousands of dolls possessed by spirits, hanged on trees on a small remote island of Mexico. Wouldn't be an interesting trip to take a boat, travel along the misty river of La Isla De las Munecas, Mexico at night to finally come across this wonderful island where the dolls are said to whisper to each other in the middle of the night? This was just an example of one of the kind of places which we will discover together. These places might make your skin crawl or even put you in a state of absolute fear for those who ever wants to experience them but will as well make you strong and provoke deepest curiosity. Mankind has always been fascinated and intrigued by things they couldn't find rational explanation so it would be a very strong experience to discover these places where no explanation has ever been made by mankind yet.

I personally think that these places need to be visited once in order to make out our own ideas and conclusions of these places. It would be an absolutely enriching experience to travel to these places once and who knows, it might change your life forever if you ever come across come spiritual being from the other world there. So let’s embark on a journey with me to these places with lots of interesting and fascinating aspects.

Personal Interest

First of all, I picked this theme because I have always been attracted to scariest places in the world since I was a child. My grandparents used to tell me about scariest places they visited when they were young and it was really like an adventure which I personally wanted to experience myself. I really like the feeling of fear and insecurity that these places create and the entire dark atmosphere there. I have also always been attracted to the history behind these places and precisely, whether the nature of these places is true or not has always intrigued me. I find these places very enjoyable especially when it feels in an environment where you are more or less safe. What I also find very interesting is all that feeling behind, the sentiment that your heart is getting out of your chest, your skin's sensibility like it's getting goose bumps and above all, your hair feels like standing up and finally when something surprise you, jumping or screaming . If I had to go to these places one day, it would probably be with some friends or relatives in order for me to scare them because I really like to scare others. The adrenaline rush it provides me is also exciting and this is why I wanted to share the most scariest places on earth in order to share the experience and make these places interesting and seen as most enjoyable to visit and not something very negative which would be avoided by people at all cost. This theme is also attracting to me because of all the historical background behind these places which are somehow sometimes very strange or even very funny like for examples, did you know there was a bridge where dogs commit suicides? They just come to the bridge, look down then jump off the boarders into the water to kill themselves. This place is very scary and this is just an example of one of the places on earth I find very funny and intriguing. Why would dogs in an area commit suicide in a specific place? Moreover , I really love the way documentaries were made to describe these places and this is somehow one of the things I personally like to do, watch all kinds of documentaries about scary places of the world which I wanted to share with my readers on this blog.

I picked this image as a representation of me because I’m kind of a narcissistic person. This picture was taken in August 2012 at Casela Bird Park on my birthday. It reminds me of nice memories of my family who were present with me that day especially my dearest cousin from Switzerland who took this picture. As we can see, I’m with a dear in the picture and I really like those animals because they are calm and their fur colours have different variation. It reminds me of the nice moment I had with my family on that particular day.
